i got the itches

http://video.yahoo.com/watch/8244148/21913950

that's a video i made for my mother of my trip to shigol with my father.

on wednesday, i went to seochun and bi-in with my dad for a whole day. seochun is my dad's hometown and bi-in is my mom's. they're pretty close to each other, which is probably how they both met and stuff. cute.

i actually enjoyed it. seeing where my mom and dad used to live was really cool. and he said it changed a lot, meaning they built new buildings, destructed old ones, build cement roads, made cute little parks, those sorts of things. i got to use my imagination a lot that day, which was tiring yet fun. i mean... it's not like i'm going to ever go back there...
i think.

however. enjoying it came with consequences. itchy ones.
it was about 95 degrees that day, but i regret wearing shorts soooo bad.

22 bug bites from walking through tall grass and kketnip fields. i love nature.

i couldn't sleep for the past 2 nights. KEPT scratching it. freak.

anyway...

you see the tiny white things in the back of the picture? that was the grave we had to get to.

my face 63% of the time there

but it was beautiful -- the place and the experience.

man, still itches.
but onto another topic.
corny but... hehe i got the itches for home. america. so-cal. LA. SD.
i haven't felt it til now, honestly. the only thing i missed (well people aren't things, so...) was the weather. sometimes, the food. honestly (#2), i only genuinely missed a handful-and-a-half people. now, i've run out of fingers.
it's nearing 2 months since i've been here, and i have about 5 more to go. maybe it's because people from back home who were here in korea to visit are now all gone and those who are still here are all busy, including myself.

next week is chuseok aka korean thanksgiving. it's a huge deal here. everyone migrates to shigol. train tickets were sold out weeks ago, and i heard literally every store/restaurant closes on that day. luckily, my mom's coming to korea on sunday!! (?) i think we're going to go to busan to visit my scary oldest aunt. dad's got work. :( sucks, but i know -- no, i could just FEEEEL that God's going to pour his blessings on us next week. :)
can't wait to share!

i miss you all. and because this blog is pretty private and i shared the link with those i wanted to share it with, i know who i'm talking about. and obviously, you know who you are. actually, i wonder if there are people reading this who i don't know about.

about the money thing.. yes, continue to trust in God. He provides perfectly in every way. also, next time, as a business suggestion, when you're negotiating money, let people know your side of the story...that you rely on this income as your own living and that you believe in your product (knowledge and ability to teach others) and the price you provide it at :)

    love you!!
