bedtime

it is now 10:41pm, around the time i should be sleeping from now on.

tomorrow is officially the first day of class.
i just had my parents/friends orientation a few hours ago and it actually wasn't too boring. i expected the speakers to be all uninteresting and monotone and stuff, but they actually had a few jokes up their sleeves. not bad, faculty. not bad.

the most interesting part about it was prayer time. they prayed for us, the students, then the family, and then the faculty. it wasn't weird prayer, like to mother God or something. it was... normal.
also, i found out that the campus doesn't have meat in their cafeterias not because they think meat is evil (totally thought that about them), but because they just want to promote a healthier lifestyle.


random fact: the city of loma linda is known to have the healthiest/longest living residents in the whole country.

then i don't get how this city has like all the fast food restaurants you can think of within a mile of each other. pretty much.

anyway, my schedule for the next 7-8 weeks is as follows:

anatomy
8am-5pm M-Th, 8am-12pm F

that's right. one class straight!

faculty member: "parents, sometimes your student is not going to want to talk to you for a whole week. they're probably going to tell you to leave them alone because they're so busy and stressed. so call on the weekends!"

....... yaa...aay.....

it's ok. i'm pretty excited for this 3-yr journey! it's going to be hard, but i am going to lean on God and find strength from/through Him. i'm thankful to have a school that is so focused on serving others and loving them through the love of Christ.
