... i woke up at 7:30am when class starts at 8.
i got ready in [record time of] 15 minutes (including washing my hair in the shower). i'm so thankful we have to wear scrubs, or else i would have told my aptmate to go first and then taken an extra half hour trying to figure out what to freaking wear.
well, i guess i can't write anything interesting for you today, unless you had already taken gross anatomy and are able to feel my pain. or maybe you're just a very empathetic person and can understand the extent of my suffering anyway.
this week, we are learning about more bones (and not just the bones itself, people, but every little crevice on the bones), nerves, and arteries of the upper extremities. we have to closely stare at/touch dissected human cadavers for 4 hrs while trying to ignore the burning sensation in our noses and eyes caused by the formaldehyde, and identify and label each little stringy thing that goes up the upper arm and towards the heart.
[sorry, it's about to get a little graphic, but i'm so used to it that it's like nothing to me now]
random pic found on google
*99.999% sure the right side is the left humerus (arm) and the left side is the rib cage.
that is an interlacement of nerves and arteries. i have to know the specific name of each artery/nerve/cord on several different human cadavers (remember, God made us all unique!) (this is where i dislike that fact.)
this is why i am currently dying. tomorrow is a whole 'notha day of new information.......... and then i have my 2nd round of written/lab exams on friday.
ahhhhhhhh
ok 10:15. time to wash up and sleep.
or should i study some more.
oh my gosh i can't afford to wake up late again.
